Enforcement notification for Brewton Drive Play Park and Attenuation Pond ENF23/0238
In October 2023, District Cllr Dilks, on behalf of DSJPC, contacted SKDC with regards the condition of the Brewton Drive park and attenuation pond. Concern was raised regarding the chicken wire that surrounded the park, the park had been set in grass instead of tarmac, the setting of the attenuation pond and the landscaping of the area alongside the footpath of Public Right of Way no. 3. We have recently received this communication.
Dear Deeping St James Parish Council,
I refer to the above matter and your enquiry, dated 30th October 2023.
Apologies for the lack of communication about this case, and the length of time it has taken to resolve.
However, the pond and park are now complete and all fencing and machinery have been removed from the site. Therefore, there is no longer a breach and this case will be closed.
If you have any further questions or need any more information, please contact me using the details above, quoting: ENF23/0238.
Yours Sincerely,
Enforcement Officer
South Kesteven District Council
Councillor Smith has written a number of times to Vistry Homes enquiring about opening the play area but has not received an answer. He will continue to chase.
Appendix 3 – 48.25 Peterborough Local Plan Review
Dear Parish Clerk
We are writing to you to update you on the timetable for the preparation of the new Peterborough Local Plan.
We commenced work on a new plan for Peterborough in April 2023, with public consultation on the Issues and Options document, and a call for sites exercise carried out last summer. In November 2023 the Council published a Key Issues Report summarising the main issues raised during the consultation and the Strategic Housing Economic Land Availability report, which listed all suggested sites to the Council.
In early 2024 work commenced on a Draft version of the Local Plan for public consultation in autumn 2024. However, in July 2024 the new government published proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and planning system which includes proposed changes to the standard method used to calculate housing need figures for Local Plans
In light of the new government’s proposed revisions to the National Planning Policy Framework, published in July 2024, and the anticipated updates to housing figures, it has been decided that the consultation on the draft Local Plan, scheduled for September and October 2024 is paused until February 2025. This will allow the necessary time to incorporate any changes to national policy, review site selection work and will ensure the evidence base is up to date.
The new Local Development Scheme was approved by the council on 5 September 2024, this sets out the timetable and all the consultation stages involved in the preparation of a new Local Plan for Peterborough.
Please check our website https://www.peterborough.gov.uk/local-plan-review for any further updates and details of consultations as they become available.
Yours faithfully
