Dear Parish Councillors Bowell, Denman, Dilks (County and District), Fowler, Gilbert, Hall, Halls, Hosking, Olson, Robinson, Rose, Shinkins-Hoppe, Stevens (District) and Thomas (District).
You are hereby summonsed to attend the next meeting of Deeping St James Parish Council which will be held in the meeting room at The Institute 38 Church Street Deeping St James PE6 8HD on Tuesday 18 April 2023 at 7.30pm.
There will be an open forum, lasting a maximum of thirty minutes to permit residents to address the Parish Council before the meeting is formally opened, which will be at the closing of the open forum or at 8.00pm, whichever is the sooner.
The business to be dealt with at the meeting is listed in the agenda below.

AGENDA
23.169 To receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.
23.170 To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests.
23.171 To approve the minutes of the previous meeting held on Tuesday 21 February 2023.
23.172 To receive the Clerks report and receive an update on matters arising from previous minutes.

1. To receive the minutes and consider any recommendations from the Planning and transport committee held at 7pm on Tuesday 11 April 2023
23.176 To consider the following correspondence.
1. Invitation to have a stall at the Deeping Carnival on Sunday 25 June 2023
2. Lincolnshire Police Priority setting meetings quarter 1 (1 January to 31 March) update and call for priorities for quarter 3 1 July to 30 September)
3. Explanation for hold-up of the transfer of ownership of Jubilee Park from SKDC to DSJPC
23.177 To continue considering the lease/purchase of a Council vehicle.
23.178 To consider whether to, and if so how to, support the neighbouring parishes of Baston, Thurlby and West Deeping following proposed sites in these areas being put forward under the Lincolnshire County Council’s minerals and waste local plan call for gravel extraction sites?
23.179 To receive information about the code of practice for the pre-election period, and taking into account this information, agree the management of the annual parish meeting scheduled to be held on Tuesday 25 April 2023
23.180 To receive and consider minutes and recommendations of other committees, reports from advisory committees, members reports from external bodies and reports of meetings, seminars, training and events attended on the Council’s behalf:
1. DSJ Allotments Association Annual General Meeting attended by Councillor Shinkins-Hoppe at the Institute on Tuesday 28 March 2023
2. Management of Memorials workshop organised by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management held on 31 March 2023 in Littleport Cambridgeshire and attended by the Cemetery Maintenance Worker
3. To receive the minutes and consider any recommendations from the recreation and open spaces committee meeting held at 8.30pm on Tuesday 11 April 2023

Sunday 23 April 2023 1.30pm - St Georges Day Parade from DSJ United Charities garden (next to 91 Church Street DSJ ) to the Priory Church for the service at 3pm.
Tuesday 25 April 2023 7pm - Annual Parish Meeting at the conference centre in the Deepings School
Thursday 4 May 2023 – District and Parish Council elections
Sunday 7 May 2023 1pm to 5pm – Coronation picnic in the Jubilee Park including music and activities
Tuesday 9 May 2023 – Parish Councillors resign from office and also take/re-take office.
Tuesday 16 May 2023 7.30pm – Annual Parish Council meeting
Tuesday 23 May 2023 7pm – Planning committee meeting
